So I have been having some issues and have been seeing some signs leading here. first off 30years old. im not gonna tell you my life story just gonna bullet things in hopes of clearing the dark tunnel that i feel is in front of me. first off it started when i was 16 years old I gave blood and got a letter from medical clinic saying that i had a blood infection but never recieved any letters or phone calls regarding said letter. A couple years ago I started to get hematomas rather easily and mainly on my legs with even the slightest bumps. All the while me being a kid in my teens and 20's been drinking alot i still drink alot sometimes. well recently things started going down hill rather quickly may started shortness of breath september started stomach bloating and pain under my sternum. now November i bruise almost immeditely with a hematoma along with it i have had alot of memory issues (i believe from drinking) im usually tired most of the time but what parent isnt. when my kids were born everything with them is fine im assuming i havent heard anything negative. i do have some pain in my legs and am seeing bruising is becoming worse with random bruising and know idea how they got there. My question is should i be concerned and is something like hepC treatable im so darn scared to get blood taken it makes me sick to my stomach im also scared cause my kids are young and i wanna watch them grow old. ive seen a pulmonologist everything is fine there ive had blood work done only thing that comes back is a high white blood cell count (12.5) last blood test. please help me. i need help

Hi TommyS, none of us are drs here so we can't say you have hepatitis. Keep in mind so many different symptoms can overlap & not be what we think we may have going on.

Do yourself & your family a favor, schedule a physical with your GP & discuss all of this. This will take the guess work out of what may or may not be going on. Don't let fear & anxiety cloud your thinking.

Take care.

Tommy, I agree with Susie. You need to see your primary doctor who will probably order some lab tests. Before you see the doctor, write down all your thoughts about your health fears and what symptoms you have had so you can show the doctor what's going on. Not knowing exactly can create huge fears in us so this is why we need to start with our primary doctor who can help figure this out.

Please keep us updated. I hope you are feeling better.

TommyS, that is great news on your labs! As for the stomach issues work with your dr on this. Above all, do not be afraid to ask the dr questions, remember he works for you.

Take care.
