Has anybody ever heard of or used the probiotic product called Align? I went to my PCP today for something unrelated to IBS (dang UTI's) and while he was feeling my stomach he noted that he could feel my colon and that it was packed with stool. My IBS used to be predominantly D, but in the last 6 months or so it has changed over to C. I am very, very thin so I've pretty much always been able to feel my colon when it's full. Lately I will be constipated, then go and still be able to feel that it's full. I know some of the other tricks of managing constipation, but my doc recommended that I try Align. Apparently he uses it himself...I don't know that much about it but he gave me a month of samples. I do have one friend at work who tried taking it and said she was in the bathroom with D all day...I certainly don't need that! I'm going to research it more online but I just thought I'd see if anyone here had any experience with it.

Hi,I have been on it for 4 weeks now but not really noticed a difference in how I feel.I guess they are working a little, but it says on the box that it takes up to 8 weeks for it to really work.I ran out of my first box and need to buy a new one,but I notice when I take it on a empty stomach I get extra gassy. But my nutritionist says that this strain has been studied to work the best with people suffering with ibs.I'm hoping when I start the next box that it will start kicking in and doing it's job really well.So I hope you have success with it and we just have to stick with it and hopefully it will work for us.Let me know how it is working for you and I'll do the same, wishing you the best with it.

Just wondering if anyone had an update on this product? I am thinking about trying it out, you can get it over the counter right?
