sad  Well, I have done it again:  I have post-infectious ibs that is severe.  The pain is horrible and always has been.  When it started out I had horrific ibs-d, but now it is primarily ibs-c.  This is complicated by my pain meds, but I can't function at all without them due to the pain, I literally lived in the ER before these meds, but here goes.  I have needed to go for days and have had small results, so now I am bloated to about 5 mos.  I had planned on taking a laxative several days ago, but due to circumstances I didn't take them.  Anyway, so today I used an enema, well of course I had the severe cramping and nausea and all that goes along with it when I use these. I didn't have very good results... I had a BM, very hard and lots of mucous; the next time I went it was all mucous no stool.  So, I have just taken my 3 bisicodyl tabs and I am dreading the outcome soooooo bad.  I will be sick all day tomorrow.  Once I get started, I will have severe spasms and I will have results, but I will feel like I am going to throw up everywhere and like I am going to faint.  I try not to take the laxatives, because I am afraid to become dependant on them or the enemas, so I don't do it often, but I am to the point I have no choice.  I wish I hadn't have put this off so long, but I did, so now I will suffer even more than I normally do.
My system is so sensitive often if I take something to go, I will end up with ibs-d for a short while (use to be forever); vice-versa if I take something to stop it I get ibs-c.  More so lately, I am ibs-c, but usually I end up naturally having the immediate urge to go really fast and the spasms and pain to no end.  Does anyone elese do this sort of thing? I just don't know why I can't get regulated and not flip flop to such an extreme.
What types of things do you all do to attempt to stay regular somewhat at least?  I have tried miralax - it didn't work, zelnorm they took off the market it worked better; colace doesn't help what elese I can't even remeber.  The amitiza I take when I have to, but the side effects are so severe for me, that I just can't take it everyday - I start it when I start to get into trouble and I have been taking it and it isn't working by itself.
I just get so frustrated - also do you all have the pain.  One more big thing, I have extreme fatigue and I had this before I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, even though I guess I could have had it and didn't know it, but I think the ibs makes me fatigued too and was wondering it is did any of you that way?
I just really wish i could get regular somehow, but like I said, I will have a really bad day tomorrow and maybe even tonight.
One more thing, sometimes the bisacodyl still doesn't clear me completely... can anyone relate to that?  I would love to hear any suggestions to regulate or at least work well and maybe without the horrible pain and faintness.

Have a wonderful pain free day, Anne.
