I would love to know if you can take miralax everyday if it's working for you and can you get it as a prescription...it's so expensive in the stores...I know it used to come as a prescription but now that it's a OTC I had heard you can't get the generic anymore..I have chronic constipation..think I have IBS and just never been diagnosed...I can't remember a time that I haven't been constipated..I'm hoping for good results with miralax..thanks for reading this..

I don't think it is by prescription at all anymore but my friend asked the pharmacist and they got her something much cheaper and said it was the same so you might ask the pharmacist.

Yes you can take it every day. My friends son has to take it daily for life. I'm sure about the prescription part. I think she
just buys it over the counter but not for sure on that.

I live in Kentucky and my sons pediatrician gave me a perscription for it. It is a much bigger bottle than the OTC stuff and if you have good insurance you may can get it for very cheap. I hope this helps you!
