Any of you guys get a sensation like you have a lump in your throat?  But it doesn't go away?  I've had this feeling for WEEKS and it's only getting worse, not better.  Sometimes it'll feel like there's pressure in the back of my throat like I'm about to throw up, but then I yawn and it goes away for a little while.
My tonsils are a little swollen, but that's kinda "normal" for me - I have wicked bad allergies, so they're always swollen (and I really DON'T want to get them out because I'm a singer and it can destroy or vastly alter your voice) - so I don't think it's that.  Besides, this is down by my collar bone almost, like in that little hollow of your neck right above your ribcage.
Any thoughts?

27yo Female, diagnosed with IBS in 2002.  Taken lots of meds, but never got relief from any of them.  Been subjected to too many tests to list, but never had a colonoscopy.  I think that's the only one I'm missing. :p
GOOD NEWS!!!  I found a new GI doctor and I'm seeing them for the first consultation on August 6, 2008!  WISH ME LUCK!!

sounds like pressure from the esophagous. could be acid reflux. Try some acid reducers or even Pepto or Maalox and see if that helps. I get that frequently and it is very uncomfortable. Be sure and tell you Doctor.
