Hello,

I am a brand new member to this site and hopefully i can get some help with what ales me at the moment.

Im 19 years old 160 pounds about 6 foot tall.

I have had an ongoing stomach problem for a few months. My stomach or intestines are in no pain but i pretty much always feel bloated and uncomfortable in the stomach region.

My stools were always verying from pencil like, to diarrhea, to constipation. Recently for about a week i have been fine, I thought i could have IBS, Though i did find something that i thought was a Pin Worm after looking it up. They were small white/clearish no longer than my thumb nail long but no movement in them. so i asked my mom (Her being an animal vet) and she said "looks like you got worms sleeping w/ that darn cat of yours." so i picked up some Pin Worm medication and took it that night (about 5 days ago). Now i have noticed something else about my stool. When i relieve myself and look down to examine, I find what i can describe as Small Sacks of Air or Bubble like object that float to the surface of the water and are in my stool. The color of these sacks are a brownish/clear and once agian no more than what looks like a thumb nail long. The only explanation i can think of is that i have Pin Worms and the medication i took made the worms inflate or something.

Anyways any help suggestions or questions would be nice if anyone has a clue.

Half of you will probably suggest going to the doctor but i need to get back into school to get on my fathers insurance agian.

Thank you.

My first instinct is to seriously doubt that you have pinworms, or any worms for that matter, in your stool. Usually the "weirdo" things we might "find" in there are simply products of digestion. For instance, do you take any supplements or medications that are in capsule form? Sometimes the capsule will pass intact but appear sort of bloated and it looks very odd indeed.

Unfortunately, the only way to figure this out is to see a doctor, as you know...there must be a low-income or neighborhood health clinic where you could be seen, at least to ensure you don't have worms, right?

I don't know about that sartia, when I was a kid I had pinworms, I saw them on the TP when I wiped and they were still moving around so they weren't dead...pinworms generally like to hatch babies on/in your anus which causes anal itching usually at night time is when it's bothersome...have you had any anal itching as well.

Here is a good 2 page link about pinworms...

You'll have to copy and paste it into your browser.

Mmm...thanks, pb4! I guess I usually think of this afflicting children more than adults.

It usually does get kids but it can be easily spread, even off of doorknobs, any surface I'm sure...I have to say I'm sure glad my kids are long past being in elementary, I still make them wash their hands when they get home after school, well the one that's still living at home anyways, the other is legal and living out on her own now.

Hi ~

I've spent 2 days searching the net and I finally came across your post / question - I have the EXACT same problem! I'm worried it could be a parasite, but since I've read that most eggs are only visible under a microscope, I've been hesitant to go see a doctor when the "things" might just be the result of something I ate! (I'd feel pretty stupid!) Anyway, I took a colon cleanse this week and on day 3 like a 100 of the exact same things you describe came out - they look like little clear (slightly yellowish) sacks of fluid about 1/4" long with an air bubble in them and they float, but they definitely don't move (aren't alive or anything.) They had these little tiny super thin dark "stems" on the end that made them resemble little tiny clear jalapeno peppers. Anyway, I can't find any photos of parasites that look anything like these, yet I didn't eat anything that should have caused them. I do take lots of vitamins, but I think that the colon cleanse had something to do with them coming out. If you went to a doctor and found out what these were, could you please let me know - it'll take two months to get an appt with a gastroenterologist - I called my family doctor which was useless - I think that she thinks I'm a kook!
: )

ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

NOTE: I also have a cat which had worms last year, so I'm worried it could be pin worms or round worms!

Hi 2DEAL,
Welcome to the site! :-)
Sorry if this comes out harsh... Colon cleansing is a scam. Whatever came out of you was put there by the cleanse. They do that deliberately so it looks like the product is cleaning out nasty stuff you had lodged in there, making you think the serum worked so you go back for more.
Even if you're skeptical about what I just stated, please check with your doctor before doing another cleanse. They have been proven to be dangerous if not done properly or under medical supervision.
Be careful.
