Hey everyone hope you all are well just wanted to come on and share a little bit I got up early this morning so that I can start taking my second at home medical test this one is for Bacterial Overgrowth of the small intestine test. It's kind of complicated but easy to take onece you've read the directions several times I need to give six glass tubes of my own breath before and after drinking a solution in water to pick up any possible bad bacteria in my small intestine. Please guys pray for me that this test comes back positive and also the test I took for Candida these test are my last hope to know what is really going on in my stomach and digestive system other then IBS I truly feel that it may be one of the two test that I took that is causing me to go through all that I have been going through if these are the answers I will be so relieved. I will keep you updated on the results hopefully it will be good news think positive for me lol all my best. :-)

Hi jtaurus,

I took the same test as you for the bacterial overgrowth and it was positive.  I took the medicine to treat it and it didn't help.  Visit the website www.ibstreatmentcenter.com.  They talk alot about the bacterial overgrowth, candida and food allergies.  I ordered the book which as a lot of very good information.  I am ordering the food allergy testing from the lab they talk about.  The lab is in Seattle and is called US Biotek.  I found in my research that only certain labs in the US test with the ELISA testing.  Have you tried being tested for food allergies?

You need to send in 6 tubes of your breath??? That's interesting. How does that work? It lasts?
Anyway, wishing you lots of luck with this. I look forward to an update. When will you know the results?
