I have dull pain above and below my belly button 30 minutes after a meal, sometimes with rectum pain. Its worses at night during sleep. Sometimes I feel ligth-headed, irritated, and unable to concentrate after eating certain food. Anyone have this problem? How bad is your pain from 1 to 10. Does it last a few hours or longer? One of the doctor told me it sound like IBS_C.

I've said this before and used one faithfully for over 2 years - keep a food journal!

They're very helpful in determining what you can eat or no longer eat (or drink). In fact, record every single thing you ingest by mouth - if you eat candy, chew gum, if you wolf your food down or chew your food very slowly, if you drink tall glasses of beverages with a large meal, or not, if you eat small meals, if you use straws when you drink, and what medications you take daily (even vitamins). All of this info will paint a picture and form a pattern for you. As time goes on.

Your one comment "unable to concentrate after eating certain food." is what prompted me to suggest a food journal.

Any notebook will do, I preferred a small 4" by 6" spiral one, that my then Elem. school aged daughters had discarded. I dated the top of each page, recorded everything I ingested above. At the bottom of each right-hand corner, I noted if it was a bad, good, or excellent/great day. Then I could easily flip back and look for my good or excellent/great days. To make sure I ate that specific way to give me more good days.

I hope you find relief soon. It sounds to me like you would need a high fiber diet, with possibly fiber supplements (Metamucil, or similar product). Even just 6 to 8 glasses of water and walking on a treadmill each day would help you out. Something as simple as that - water, exercise. Along with good nutrition of course (that's an obvious suggestion).

Hoping you receive a few more replies.

Crohn's with constipation sounds like an oxymoron. I'm not saying it can't happen, I just don't think I've ever heard of it (on this board). Have you been scoped to check for an IBD?

I have IBD serology 7 that show marker for crohns. CBC and small bowel x-ray look normal in 2005. Crohns with constipation can happen if it effect certain part of your intestine if especially if you are obstructed. I have pain during sleep and ulcer in the mouth and IBS symptom. My are just tender when touch, not bloated like IBS people. I feel ill and tire. Not able to concentrate. They gave me belladonna and it doesnt work.
