I know there's a lot of variables. I've been reading up on Olive Leaf extract for it's Antiviral properties, but noticed it has some intestinal muscle relaxing properties as well. I was wondering if anyone with IBS-D has tried it out before and noticed anything. I searched and didn't find anything, so, I'm going to guess not.
Well, I've got some minor cold symptoms and I took some for the first time tonight--we'll see what happens.
I had a slight headache later that night and then little / minor "C" on Sunday (next day). I won't attribute either to the pill I took yet, as I was still congested. I also had a small slice of Pizza (which usually isn't a problem, but it was from a different place) the day before. All in all, too many variables. I haven't had any additional pills since then, and things seem relatively normal again. I will probably take one more tonight and see if headache or "C" problems return.
On the plus side my cold (slightly sore throat, congestion) symptoms stayed relatively minor and cleared up quickly. Again, I can't say if it's just one of those times or the Olive Leaf Extract actually helped. I'll post a few more updates over the next few weeks and see if I can spot a trend.
So I was starting to get a cold again (well it felt like it). I had not taken another since the original one above. I took one on Friday and didn't have the same side effects as last time so seems OK. I was starting to possibly get a cold (sore throat) but that seems to have cleared up. Skipped Saturday and took a second one on Sunday, again no side effects to report. I can't say for sure that it's made anything better either, will likely take another long break and try again. I'm thinking it might possibly help with reducing symptoms of a cold if taken at the earliest signs (as marketed)... but no proof. Placebo effect or not, so far so good.
