I have IBS- C and I have a bad taste in my mouth. I am on Amitiza for the constipation and it has helped alot.  The bad taste comes and goes.  Some weeks I am ok and then I get it back.  Not sure it is from constipation or a little of reflux.  I don't have reflux unless I get backed up.  I have no signs of reflux now except this bad taste in my mouth.  Does anyone know if I can take a supplement or eat or drink anything that would get rid of the taste?

How long have you been on Amitiza. I just started it a couple of days ago. I take one at night. I think two is too much. The bad taste in your mouth do you think it is even related to this?

I know its not related to Amitizia.  It only happens when I back up.  Its either from constipation or a refllux from the constipation.  How is Amitizia working for you?

Taking probiotics can help with the bad taste (and bad breath).

Dealing with the constipation will probably be key, but other things can be a stop gap while you work on that.
Like chewing parsley, or not letting your mouth get dry. Plenty of water can help breath and constipation. (I'm not one to talk about drinking lots of water though!) Also flossing and scrubbing your tongue with the toothbrush can clean your mouth of bacteria which may cause smells and tastes.

Maybe you could get checked for any underlying causes?
