"The diagnosis is PFD, Chronic Constipation, Chronic IBS"
PFD and IBS are different, but can overlap. They are considered functional problems.
Look at this under
Functional Anorectal Disorders
and Functional Bowel Disorders
Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
An example of anorectal dysfunction that can contribute to constipation is a condition called Pelvic Floor Dyssynergia (also referred to as anismus). It is marked by the failure of pelvic floor muscles to relax, or a paradoxical contraction of the pelvic floor muscles, with defecation.
There are people who specialize in PFD tretment. But part of this speciality is probably under motility disoders. How stuff moves through you and the bowels work.
"They are actually still running test on me because they think it might be more than just PFD. The last test that he can do prior to me seeing the new doctor is the defecation test. I am scheduling that on Monday."
I was just gonna ask a sitz marker test? Ths is a motilty test to see ho fast stuff goes through you.
