Hi everybody, really hope someone can give me some info cos i'm really struggling with a pretty embarrassing problem. Over the past couple of months i have been getting really bad burning pains whilst passing my poo. It honestly feels like i'm pooing acid. Its usually quite loose but at times although it feels like i really need to poo nothing comes out except this bile like substance which hurts the most. I've also noticed while wiping that it feels like there may be a lump up there...which kinda scares me!

i've noticed these symtoms happen most after i've had a couple of drinks or eaten spicy food. I've got acid reflux problems which means i have constant heartburn and indigestion so i'm wandering if these are linked with my burnin symptoms in anyway?

anyways i hope you can help people, thanks.

The simple layman's answer would be - you probably have eaten an offensive food or consumed an offensive beverage.

If this continues, keep a food/beverage/medication/etc. journal. Just any notebook will suffice, keep track of everything you eat, drink, etc. After a while you'll begin to see a pattern form and know which foods to avoid in the future.

The saying - we are what we eat? It's true.

If you are having this for several month than you might have hemorrhoids. Have you considered this as an option. If you have hemorrhoids that the best thing for you to do is to go to doctor and find a treatment. But I think you would need a surgery for this. Best of luck...
