I am in need of help and advice.
I have been sick since October. After getting the flu, I had a lingering cough. A Dr. (not my GP) prescribed prednisone and after it ended, I still had a cough and severe pain. Flash forward a few months, the cough is gone (due to post-illness asthma) and I had an Endoscope done where they found gastritis (now healed). Three months of medicine and I am still losing weight (about 50 pounds to date) and still can't eat normally. Had a colonoscopy and another upper GI scope last week (they found an infection in my colon - small and everything else is clean including tests for usual... IBS, IBD, colitis, chrons, cancer, celiac, ulcers, etc). Now the GI doc is doing a HIDA scan on Friday, because he suspects my gallbladder. My question is, if it is not my gallbladder, what else could it be at this point? Any insight is appreciated. I have been told by several medical professionals that THIS GI doc is the best, but I am leery since I have been sick so long.
Nausea (off and on)
Gas in lower and upper GI
Spasms in back and stomach/lower ab area (Just started in last week or two. not bad-off and on, not a lot of pain)
Changes in stools color and consistency/texture
Anxiety issues when stomach gets upset (worse with stress and bad foods)
Inability to eat certain things: primarily foods with fats. Dairy (always had a slight issue with this). Acidic food
