Yes joan i can imagine...
But bear in mind we have a most definite 2 tier system here... the NHS, which is phenominal if you are involved in an accident or need to be rushed to A & E (your ER?), but pretty useless timewise if you become ill and need tests / treatment. The queues and waiting lists are horrrendous and the staff, who are world class, are treated with complete contempt and worked into the ground.
Then there are people like me who buy private medical cover.(£70 / $90) per month for the family. No waiting, state of the art technology and staff who have time.
Without getting into politics, your president should think very carefully about implementing a similar system to the NHS in the USA. The grass is most certainly no greener.
