so i will be having surgery to have an arificial anal schincter put in and I didn't realize how upset my daughter is.  she's 15 and just tonight we had a long talk because she's been so moody and it came out.  i don't know what to do.  i reassured her, told her if she's got any questions to ask, that she has a guidance counsellor at school, i've looked online for ideas but i'm not finding much.  i already have a hard time being a single mom, we seem to alwayys be short of money which she also said bothers her and this makes me feel so crappy :(

becrhomat, sorry to hear your daughter is upset. I don't know of any resources off hand for this really.

Talking to her is a good thing.

I think your doing the right thing and hopefully everything turns out okay. If I can find some resources I will post them for you.

I know this must be tough on both of you.
