Just thought I would introduce myself. I'm a 38 yr old widow, I work part time as a CNA in home health care. I'm from NC but live in PA right now.
I've had very bad IBS since my early teens and in the last 5 yrs it has gotten much worse. My IBS is almost always Diarhea prone, with belly pain, cramps, gas, bloating...not to mention a sore rear end.
There are times I barely make it to the bathroom, to the point where I keep spare clothes with me. I only get constipation from pain meds.
I have a lot going on medically...Diabetes, Depression/Anxiety, Migraine, Asthma, and Low Thyroid. I take several meds for all this too.
The two meds I've been on for my IBS are Librax and Bentyl. The Librax helps but my insurance doesn't cover it, so for me it is very expensive.
Would love to know some folks & learn how to cope better with this syndrome. I feel that it seriously affects my quality of life.
Thanks for reading, Jen
