Nice reply John, I would like to add, it would be benificial to spend your time constructively if your are going to worry about this issue. In that I mean, go ahead and worry about what you eat and write it down in a food journal. The time you spend in your home, make mental notes of when you IBS is most prevalent, and find out what you did just before the occurrence. Get obsessive it you must, but try and find what is going on, the more specific the better. I wrote a thread a few days ago(Come back when Worse?) about my issue and that's what I've been doing of lately and I'm really beginning to peel away what's happening to me, and that is making this experience pass easier.
Hang in there jt80, with some knowledge and some faith I'm sure you'll pull through :)
