anybody tried Linzess?

This is supposed to help IBS with constipation. It is giving me gas and gas pain. Does anybody else have experience with Linzess. My gastroentrologist gave me some samples. What amount have you been taking also?

Hi Joan M, I've been on Linzess for a 1.5 months. I started on the lower dose (145 mcg) and had diarrhea for 4 days before it normalized. 2 weeks into it my IBS was triggered really badly and the lower dose didn't work anymore. I'm currently on 290 mcg. I feel it helps tremendously with reducing gut pain and moderately with preventing constipation. I still have to be really careful with my diet.

I didn't experience any gas issues. Are you sure it's not food related?

I heard that more usage of Linzess is lead to diarrhea.. but not sure about that report.. I think you have to confirm this by some good doctor which have proper knowledge about drugs. and without making sure don't try anything.

Sooooo... I stopped the Linzess completely. My gut started to seize up on me like never before. I thought it was everything else I was taking (probiotics, antifungals) besides the Linzess. It worked well for a while... Today is my second day off of it. Although I have a slight withdrawal headache my tummy feels so much better. Will treat my IBS-C and yeast issues with antifungals and diet.
