This is my first post, thanks in advance for reading this, and pardon me if this is being posted in the wrong section as I am not sure if my symptoms indicate IBS.
I am a 32 year old male, my diet is vegetarian.
It seems that sometimes my body just does _not_ digest dinner and the food seemingly just passes through the body only to leave it tired and exhausted.
Pardon me for my crass language, but when this happens, my stool is very liquid-like with powerful exit from the system.
After that I feel quite hungry and sapped of energy, as if my body did not get any nutrition from the dinner.
It is only dinner food with which I seem to have this issue, not lunch. I wonder why.
This seems to happen regularly now with frequency of about
twice a week.
To give concrete example, food that I generally have for dinner is : rice or toasted breads, steamed vegetables OR small subway sandwich.
If I have dinner at a restaurant, then chances are almost 80% that overnight digestion would fail.
I also plan to see a family doctor (MD) for this issue.
My questions to this very helpful forum are:
- any insights based on above information?
- Is MD a right professional to see for this issue OR Should I be seeing a dietician? Ayurveda doc? Any other alternate medicine?
I started seeing this issue for about
5 years now, and it has quite negative impact on my professional (lackluster morning meeting presentations) and social life (can not dine out).
Thanks for you taking time to read this post and I would sincerely appreciate any thoughts/guidance you have on this.
