Hello everybody!
The SITUATION:
Went for a 4 week road trip where my diet consisted mostly of bagels, peanut butter, and cliff bars. Had limited exercise, and was not drinking enough water. One day, about
2 weeks into my road trip (4 weeks ago), I tried to poop and failed to pass a particularly large poop. Subsequent trips to the bathroom always resulted in passing several small poops and failure to pass the large one. On two occasions, my stool was mixed with some blood, and I attributed that to some internal scratching from my mega-poop, but I have not bled in weeks.
My diet now consists of mixed foods, but heavy on fruits and water. I am eating less than normal, though, and have little appetite (usually I am a bottomless pit and always hungry for more).
I feel a little bit bloated, and a bit exhausted (maybe unrelated).
What I have tried so far:
-Drinking lots of water
-Senna laxatives (a couple of attempts 10-12 days ago)
+Produced bowel movements, but no progress with mega-poop
-Breaking/Scooping poop out with finger
+Couldn't really get at it
-Enema (twice yesterday)
+Produced bowel movements, I felt mega-poop moving, and I tried super hard to pass it, but no luck
The QUESTION:
What do I try next?
Will prune juice do the trick?
Is it time to have a doctor remove it for me? (I have limited funds)
Your responses are greatly appreciated! Thank you so much.

Leprechaun, Fleets makes a mineral oil enema that will often help with a low impaction, which is what it sounds like you have. Put the bottle in a sink or bowl of warm water to get it as close to your body temperature as possible - not too hot, though - then try to retain for at least a half hour. You may even need to use two enemas and hold them for up to an hour. The oil softens the dried stool and will often allow you to expel it.
If this doesn't work, you probably need to see a doctor. Good luck!

I would try 1 and a half capfuls of miralax at morning and night. High dose Miralax usually gets me going when I constipate. It was recommended to me by an ER doctor.
