I've been dealing with "whatever this is" for two months...some days I feel fine and then I take two steps backward. Last week had a scope done and that was fine. CT scan was fine. GI thinks it is a bit of issues with IBS. Been feeling good for over a week and then this Saturday started with more frequent BM's, starting in the morning. Been this way for the past four days: I wake up and shortly after rousing feel the need to go. My belly/gut will hurt/burn...not sure how to describe. The first BM is usually soft and brown, in pieces. Then for the next few hours I will have recurring burning/hurting in the belly/gut area which send me to the bathroom. It is relieved with the BM which become progressively loose and flakey. But by afternoon I am fine. This seems almost nonsensical and I feel like a total loser about myself.
I do have a question, which I think I am curious about because it boggles my mind and I wonder if I'm alone in my thinking. Anyway, does anyone out there with these symptoms/dealing with IBS look at people going out, going out to eat, and just wonder how they are doing it? The thing is, that used to be me. I used to go out...I used to eat out. That's changed in the last few years...but now this past year without my GB, with dumping syndrome, and now the issues of IBS really kicking in for me in the last two months, I cannot even think about doing things like that anymore...and I feel like my gut and my digestive track determines what I do, when I do it, or if I do it at all.
