It seems the address I posted doesn't work, so please go to www.ibsgroup.org & you can access it from the news column on the right side of the page.

I will and try to post the direct link to it and see if it works, sometimes it doesn't work so I don't think that it was anything you did wrong...

I work in the medical field and I was reading out ref. book from our lab and I came across these test.  I was considering going and having these tests done.  By the way, we use a lab that is "nationally know" I guess you could say.  The lab is Quest Diagnostics.  If you doc uses Quest he will be able to do these test.  I could look up the exact test #s if anyone's doc need further info.

Dear GAWZ,
I'd like to give my GI the test #'s; he doesn't seem to know much; I'm always going in w/articles on new things to do (like breath test) & he always has an answer why I shouldn't do it; he can;t argue about a simple blood test; by the way--I'm on a 1st name basis @ the local quest office; the most recent blood test they took 11 viles!
)don't worry qbout typos;ive ben typng fr 20 yrs still lookng @ the keys!!!)

Thx, Sick & Tired

OK Sick and Tired here you go:
Test numbers and info:

2855 - Barley, wheat, buckwheat, rye, oat, rice
10715X - Egg, peanut, wheat, walnut, codfish, milk, soybean, corn, shrimp, clam, scallop, IgE
2854 - Nut profile
2857 - Seafood profile

Let me know if you get any of thes done and the results and the cost/insurance coverage. I go to the allergy doc on the 17th. However I dont know if he will do these test or the skin tests.
