I was just wondering if anybody else has pain every day?  I've been like this now for 2 1/2 years and have had every test there is except the camera pill which I will be swallowing sometime in the near future?  Also, does anybody else burp alot?  Thanks :-)

Funny you ask that, softy, because I was thinking about asking if I am the only one that DOESN'T have pain everyday. I usually only get pains during, before and after an attack. Day to day I don't have pain. I do, however, have nausea EVERYDAY. I also burp way too much. I cut out sodas so I can't even attribute it to that. Sometimes when I sit and think about all my problems (bodily) I wonder if I'll ever be able to keep a man. Who wants a chick that burps and farts more than he does? That's disgusting.

LOL 7Lil. I also go through bouts of nausea and I've found ginger in capsule form from the health food store to be a huge help. I also spent a few weeks walking around with those stupid sea bands around my wrists hoping they would work. IMO, not worth the money.

LOL Lil... you are too funny. I can relate to that statement though, sad isn't it? At least my hubby doesn't really care because he knows about my problems and I get away with it because its "medically" related... I always tell him, "I have an excuse, what's yours?" LOL......... My son also has started bragging to his friends that I am the champion burper. Gosh how humiliating is that? LOL

Yes I have daily pain. It is mostly in the upper part of my colon which is where my gas pains seem to bother me the most, this causes nausea a lot for me. My lower colon and rectum are a different story because thats where everything starts working overtime when it finally gets there and then I will get the urgency feeling and stabbing pains in my sigmoid area.

Its amazing though, I wonder how much more pain I would be in if I didn't get this on a daily basis since I have probably worked up such a tolerance for this pain. I would probably think that I was dying. Geez what a thought.

i honestly thought it was just me!!!!!!!!!!!!
i always hurt (except for today and i am stunned--i cut out wheat--who knows what this will bring)
and i burp, a lot, i mean people are shocked, and scared and in disbelief when it is me who says "excuse me" ( i am sort of a small woman).
i never had an explaination for it--i just tell everyone that it really is sexy, the world just hasn't caught on... but now, maybe there is a medical explaination for it!!!
yeah, back in the dating years, it isn't so much of a turn on, turns out... however i married this guy that has no problem with it... probably cause i giggle when he farts... i guess we just both have 12 year old senses of humors...
have a great day everyone!!!

I don't always have pain every day.  Lately, actually, I think the pain has improved (probably because my gallbladder is out now), but when it does hit (like today - can't even count how many bathroom trips I had) it is pure misery.  Hyoscyamine and dicyclomine don't seem to touch it on the bad days.  Anything else you guys use that seems to work?  I have some narcotics (Vicodin and Demerol) but I try to use those as sparingly as possible.
