My daughter had her Endoscopy & Colonoscopy done on Wednesday.  She doesn't have Celiac Disease which they thought she might of had.  They said that she carries the gene.  When the Colonoscopy was done they found Ulcers in her Rectum.  They took pieces of it so they can run test.  They are trying to rule out Crohns Disease & Ulcerative Colitis.  I waiting for the DR to call me today with the results.

Thank you. She's ok with talking to friends & family about it. They all keep a eye on her. Sometimes it's hard because in one of her friends houses there are 9 people living there & one bathroom. She had a attack over there one time & someone was in the shower. They got out right away in the middle of their shower. Now I just wait for the DR to call with results.

Hi edwocb, glad to hear you daughter is OK.
Phew, what a relief to have the scopes over and done with. I am happy to hear she does not have Celiacs.... however, I do not wish her to have an IBD either.
Please let us know when you hear from the doc. You will be in out thoughts.

Thank you. I called the DR 8:30am this morning & haven't heard anything yet. I know they get very busy. I will give him till 2:00pm & then I will call back. She was knocked out for both procedures. She was a trooper. She got alittle nervous when they got her ready but then she was ok. We were in the room with her while they put her out & with her when she woke up. She took her pictures to school for extra credit in science. She thought the pictures were pretty cool.

Maybe her ulcers will just be the result of D&C. Both extremes are very hard on the rectum, what, between the straining and the frequency. Not to mention other things that come out that causes problems, like bile. Not fun to have, but certainly better than ulceritis or Crohn's.
