Dear folks,

If you had to recomend one or two books on dealing with IBS, what would they be? I've had IBS for 7 years and was looking for information on how to deal with it WITHOUT resort to prescription meds.

Many thanks in advance!

Hi googlebot,

Welcome to Healing Well :)

There are a lot of good books out there and I remember that I used to read a lot of them however I could not tell you the names (I'm sorry sad ) of them.  A lot of my books have gotten shuffled and lost through moves and I think that some were just lent out however I never got them back.  Healing Well has a great bookstore through Amazon, here is the link to the IBS section at the HW bookstore, its great because you can read reviews on them as well...

Welcome, googlebot!
I like Eating for IBS. It has many easy recipes.
I have a ton of IBS books and took something valuable away from all of them. I suggest you read as much as you can because the more you know, the easier it is to help yourself.

Many, many thanks for the replies! I really do appreciate it.

What do people think of the book "25 Natural Ways to Control Irritable Bowel Syndrome" by Scala? I'm looking for a somewhat introductory book that will give me some non-pharmaceutical options to dealing w/ IBS.

Cheers everyone.

You may want to try reading "IBS: The First Year" (I think that's what it is called, if not, it is something similar).

Hi eric,
I edited your post because Healing Well has a bookstore that sells both of the books you mentioned. People have the right to buy these books anywhere but since they are offered through this site, we don't want to promote it through other means. I hope you can understand. Thanks and take care.

I ordered two books yesterday ... and I'm sure I'll be buying several more books in the near future.
