Hang in there, Patty!
We have all cheated and eaten something we know we shouldn't have, and we will all continue to do so. You know, sometimes the consequences are worth it.... sometimes not. Be thankful you don't have the big D along with the cramps because it could have been worse. Never the less, I'm sorry you had such a rough night. Hope you are feeling better.

Thanks for the kind words. Thanksgiving is coming up and I know I will be eat several things that won't be good for my gut. I think I'll just take a bite or two of my favorite bad foods. Then go find my beloved heating pad. I have a better relationship lately with it than I do with my hubie. Well I spend more time with it at least.

Man, a few years ago I had biscuits and sausage (sawmill) gravy for breakfast. Never had it since (although I did sneek a little biscuit gravy on my grandmother's mashed potatoes the other other weekend, but hers isn't heavy on the sausage like Stuart's and I ate very little of it). I had a major bile diarrhea episode; had to take three or four welchol pills to get it to stop--and I took one before I even ate any (1 pill almost always stops me up). What's more, we were at an 18th century event, so I had to keep walking back and forth to the bathroom and didn't have access to a hot bath or anything. I ended up laying down and sleeping some of it off. I was not a happy camper that weekend at all.

I have gone D during a red light at the front of a major intersection at night. My wife was driving luckily and I just told her not to go when the light turns green. Jumped out of the car and just went - had no other choice except go in the car and I refuse to do that as long as there is a ground to go on. Automobile headlights on me from both sides of the intersection. Needless to say I was not a happy camper. I have had IBS with a history of diverticulosis for over twenty years.
