so i tested positive for bacterial overgrowth, took long enough--i had the breath test in september, some of you may remember my doctor "vaguely remembered me being positive and i may need antibiotics"   well i have to go to see him today (why couldn't he call in the perscription?) and i have A TON of questions, like "why did this take so long?"  "do you realize that my job is on the line?"

oh yeah, since i missed so much work they are wondering if i can physically do my job... great more stress please...

so i am cool with the whole ibs thang-and taking care and watching my diet, but i have gotten worst during november, lots of D PLUS formed stools up to 11 times a day (yes, D in the morning then 11 formed/loose poops--all in one day!  my tushie hurts!!  yeah baby wipes!!)  plus the muscle aches, tingling pain in my limbs and exhaustion...  i talked to a P.A. friend of mine and she said that with the antibiotics i should find relief, but still have the ibs.  so does this mean i will finally have a good day?

anybody out there have an overgrowth before?

take care,

bunny

Hi Bunny,
I'm glad you are finally getting some where with the docs....
I don't have experience with bacterial overgrowth, BUT I suggest making sure you continually use probiotics with (or after for sure!) your round of antibiotics.
Please keep us posted on how you are doing.
