I'm sorry to hear about
your loss. Do you think the stress could be contributing to your problem? I know when in hard times my guts don't ever cooperate (even with Imodium, Pepto, etc.). I would suggest taking some time for yourself. Even better if you could get away for a day or 2. Do you have someone you can talk to (friend, family, counselor, doc)? Anytime my guts start acting up for longer than a day I like to sit down with my mom and let things all out (crying included). I complain about
my life and my struggles and sometimes that helps me. Other times the storm has to be ridden out. Try to eat bland, low fat, simple foods that won't irritate the gut. Try eating foods that are known for causing constipation, like bananas. Or take lots of calcium to help absorb the excess water and soothe the inflamed intestinal lining.
Again, I'm sorry to hear of this tough time for you. I hope your system settles down soon.
