Hi guys, I'm very tired of having this and I dont know what to do anymore. A couple months back (about 8 months) I started having lots of gas everyday, some days I would even fart about 50 times in a day, not joking. The thing is each of them were very foul, it really seemed as if it came out of sewers (not joking!) This episode lasted about a month or 2 then calmed down. From time to time it comes back, with that same smell. Now, 4 months ago I noticed some changes in my stool, the shape seemed weird, as if the stool is dying or something. Sometimes it has the shape of a small pen, but about 30 of them, and 95 % of the time the stool splits into 5-10 normal size stool. I noticed that if Im working outside during the whole day ill go to the toilet about 3 times per day, but if I'm off at home doing nothing it could be 6 to 8 times a day!!! Sometimes in the morning withing 3 hours I could go 4 times ! It's really annoying i'm tired of going to the toilet every hour or so. I went to see the doctors plenty of times since the beginning, one said it might be IBS, they ruled out crohn's disease and intolerance to gluten. What could it be, could this really be IBS? Thanks guys!

Have you had a stool test to check for possible infectious causes to your symptoms? Very smelly stool can be an infectious clostridium difficile sign.

Have you had a colonoscopy? If you suspect IBS/IBD then a stool test and a colonoscopy are usually ordered.

Have you ever had any blood in your stool? I ask as that is common with an IBD.

Your diet could make a big difference in what's going on,

And by your diet I don't mean just what you are eating, but also what foods to avoid, because for me that has made a very significant difference,

Recently, I got a recommendation to read a book that has a complete list of foods to avoid in chapter 3, since following the recommendations made in the book, I have had completley normal bowels!

the name of the book is "How To Eat Clean And Lose Weight Fast Naturally And Permanently"

Please let us know if the information in the book was helpful!
