Hi guys, new to this forum. I'm just curious if im crazy or if this IBS.. maybe something else. I;m getting my first colonoscopy (im 28) because two gi doctors recommended it. My IBS has been manageable up until now. But I don't know what happened but during my vacation with my husband I had crazy constipation and saw a doctor there which gave me strong laxative.. the next day I had strong cramps after my bowel movement in the morning up until this day.( I use coffee as my laxative it's a must or my stomach kills either way).

Anyways long story short, I never had issues before but after my breakfast and going to the bathroom that day I I had painful cramps everyday. I would hardly eat etc.. It's been two months almost and everyday is the same. I take dicylocmine which helps to a degree but to be relying on medicine every day? Besides it doesn't take it away all together. I also don't see what is causing this cramps to happen. I'm wondering if g-d forbid its something serious. Hopefully everything is fine but I'm afraid they'll just rule it out as IBS. I'm just not sure what to do. I'm suffering every day because of these horrible cramps sad

Anyone have similiar symptoms? :/ thanks.

I wonder if it is rectal-spasms? That's somewhat common and painful with IBS. If you have those then an anti-spasmodic such as Bentyl or Levsin can be prescribed by your doctor.

I mean I get if it's IBS.. but if its something else than its only masking the situation... Hopefully I'll get better idea after my colonoscopy sad
