My new GI gave me samples of Flora Q to try.  However, I am having a huge sense of pressure in my LLQ.  I keep having to go and go and its like one long spasm.  Not much is coming out but there is no end to it, there is always more there and more wanting out.
Do any of you who take it experience side effects?

I haven't taken that brand, but I have experienced gas with acidophillus pills. I think gas and gas cramps are a common side-affect for most people, although it usually goes away after continued use.

If you can bear it, try to stay on it at least a week, preferably two, to see if it doesn't straighten itself out. Some people take longer to adjust to them than others.

Maybe there's a big war being raised in your colon right now for total dominion--fought between the light and dark sides of the bacteria family--and those farts you let are just cannon bursts escaping. :-)

Like Keri mentioned, I get gas and gas pains when starting a new probiotic or upping my dose. I too would suggest sticking with it unless it is absolutely miserable. If you can't handle it then I suggest trying a different brand/kind. I believe probiotics are like fiber - some people can handle Metamucil and others can't. Go with what works best for you.
