This is strange.

Let me explain my job first...

I'm a photographer.  And right now, we take pictures of tourists that are taking a boat out to a fort on a island.  We shoot every boat (3 boats at one location and another 3 at another location).  The boat is gone for 2 hours 15 minutes while we edit all the pictures.  Then we sale them and do the whole thing all over again.  We also have a night shift, were we take pictures for people going on a fancy dinner cruise...they are gone for 3 hrs and 30 minutes.

So here's my little strange thing.  I usually only work nights (5:30pm-11pm), and one to two daytime shifts (8am-4 or 5pm).  I work fine at the night shifts with no problems.  But when I have to work during the day i start feeling like i have to go to the bathroom, so i try to go before i go to work...i end up going like 3 times before i leave the house and still have the urge when i get to work!  A couple times i actually was at work and ended up have explosive D at work!  So I started taking only one immodium before my day time shifts.  It really helps too!  But Im looking into another photographer job that would be 8am-5pm M-F.  I can't take immodium EVERYDAY.  That's why I have started metamucil, hoping it will regulate me.

I'm thinking it's a pyschological thing.  "oh man, what if i have an accident?!  I think I gotta go!  This is so embarassing, i have to lie and say i have to throw up, i can't tell people i got to take a  bad crap!"  haha  It may also be that by the time i have to work at night, i have already gone to bathroom and got most of it out.  Cause I ALWAYS feel full.  I have yet to feel like i don't have to go since i have had IBS.  And my doctor knows this, but he says not to worry.

I really can't wait till they know more about IBS  sad

I think just about everyone is worse in the morning. Have you tried calcium? That's helped me and others. Scroll down through the posts and look for a post on calcium by Innape. All the information for why certain calciums work and others don't is posted there. The calcium of choice is Caltrate 600 w/ vitamin D.
