Don't know if IBS is the right category for this or not.
I've had a squeezing pain in my upper abdomen for 5 months now. I've been to see a gastroenterologist and gynecologist trying to figure this out. I've had stool samples to check for parasites and IBD, urine samples to check for bladder infection, blood work was normal, ultrasound was normal, not h. pylori, endoscopy and biopsy to check if its celiac or ulcer, and pap smear and transvaginal ultrasound to check if there was a problem with my ovaries and everything has come back fine.
I noticed that gluten made the pain more intense and constant. Now that I've stopped eating gluten the squeezing is less intense and only becomes worse after I eat or if I forget to eat.
I'm also having issues with constipation as well and I've lost about 12 lbs. since this all began.
My main issue is that I'm living abroad in a place that doesn't exactly recognize IBS as a problem. My PCP and gastroenterologist both don't consider it a thing and just label it as anxiety.
Is there anyone who has experienced this due to their IBS and were you able to treat it?
