Hey all,

Well i finally talked to my doctor today. My blood tests came back good!! And i ask him about the diagnosis, and he said he is treating me for what he treated me for the first time in 2002. Microscopic colitis. I asked why he mentioned IBS, he said he didnt remember saying thats what he was treating me for. So, maybe i just misunderstood. Anyway, thats what the entocort ec was for. And  I feel much more comfortable after talking with him. I told him i took two of the pills and the diarreha had subsided, and he was happy about that, just to watch what i ate, and take care of myself. He said sometimes, you can have remissions for years, and with microscopic colitis, you can actually have it go away. on some people it happens that way. But,,,, I would like to THANKS each one who has responded to my posts so lovingly and careingly. It made me feel so much better when i was really scared and down. Especially Idab, Ides, and Lil and Keri!!! You guys are wonderful, hope you know that!!!! Thanks again!!!!

Peppertree,
I am so happy to hear you cleared things up with the doc. You may not have IBS but I sure do hope you stick around, or at least pop in ever now and then.
Best wishes for continuing to be D free. :-)
Take care!

Peppertree,
I'm glad you got answers and you are on the way to treatment. That's wonderful. You are always welcome here IBS or not. I mean we got poop in common so if you ever need to come in and vent about that or anything else or just to say hi, please do. :)

Peppertree - I am SO happy you spoke with your doctor and got the "scope." Take that Entocort and enjoy life! I hope it takes care of the problem long term for you. --Ides

I'm glad too that you are all sorted out. I'm sure your hubby will be glad to see you feeling better too.

And that's really good news, isn't it, that you have to colitis and that it goes into remission (something IBS doesn't really seem to do)? That means you won't have to the take the encort all the time forever; when you go into remission you should be able to come off it. When it flares up again, go back on it. You should naturally regulate coming and going from it.
