I'm sorry Peppertree. I'm not sure what these are. I hope someone can give a little insight on it. Again I apologize.

I looked at getting a card from the maker of Depo Provera when I was unemployed and without insurance, but I ended up getting a job before I took advantage of it. You basically look up the drug companies that produce your name-brand medicines and look to see if they give out discount cards. They should work just like a coupon or rather more like a reuseable grocery-store discount card.

I don't know anything about the discount cards they advertise on t.v. The ones from the drug companies, though, are legit and cost you nothing.

Thanks for your answers,

This is something newer from what i gather, for those who cant get insurance. They say its not insureance but with the card you can get discounts on prescription, doctor visits, hospital stays, labs cost etc.  I feel weird now cause i got my packet, and cards, but im paying 269.95 a month for it, (my husband is included in the price) but, there is no hospital on thier program in our area? i dont know, i think i was grasping at straws. lol  thanks yall :-)

Where are you located? If you get online and go to the websites of the Pharmaceutical Company that makes your medication, there should be an application for you to fill out. It is all based on income.

I live in Ohio, so anyone in need of assistance w/meds.....

Hey, Most of these discount cards work, but they wont cut the price on a brand medication really good, On generic medicine they will , I have crohns disease, It is very painful on me and to my wallet, I am currently parttime employed due to this bad economy . I could not afford my regular insurance but I am saving money with these pharmacy discount cards, What really ticks me off was that I was using a local independant pharmacy in my area for years , The Pharmacist was very helpful for me to give me a tab .... you never know until you ask.... so most of the meds I was buying from him I would try to pay for them in installments. Anyway to make a long story short , I found out I was overpaying for my medicines and really overpaying, I was on a drug Protonix, it was costing me around 87 bucks so I looked up to see if there was any coupons I print one but when I took it to my local pharmacist He said It is a scam woul'nt work SO I let this go......A month later I was shopping at a Wal-mart, ( I dont like the box ) but I am so budgeted that I need to save money. I ask the Pharmacist who was very up on his stuff and funny thing is He quoted me a price of 44.00 for my med ....... At First I thought the medicine would be from some country never heard off and might hurt me, but the pharmacist assured me that thats not the case , as a matter of fact when I showed him my pharmacy receipt from my local pharmacist he said it is the same He compared it showing me a NBC or NDC I forget. Low and behold I transfered my medicine and I showed the discount card I printed to the Walmart pharmacist and he accepted it and it brought my Protonix down to 34.00 bucks I am very happy for this ,......I am sad that my local independant pharmacist I have been doing business with for over 12 years was charging me so much . Here is the website for the discount card I hope that this helps everyone in the hard time that our nation is facing for health care

I use one and get a script that cost $320 for $110 for a 90 day supply, my ins. does not cover this drug. I printed the drug card out took it to k-mart along with my script and could not believe it worked. You can check on the site and see how much the drug will cost and where in your area you can get it.

There are many different sites that offer this free card, just type in free discount drug plans. My sil uses the plan and gets her eye drop for glacoma $80 a bottle cheaper. From what I see the brand names are not discounted, between the card and k-mart and wal-mart's $10 generic plan you are pretty well covered with meds at a cheaper price.
