eyes    about five years ago I dio.. with IBS with diaherrea ( can't spell ) ... that was when I was in my middle 30's and my question for today is I have cramps and pain so bad when I have one of my attack, I can be on the throne just crying my eyes out and a few times I felt like I was going to pass out due to the pain.. Then it's funny once it's over I feel like I ran a marathon but it also feels like it never happened?? You just go on with your life till the next attack.. my next question is *** Is this normal??!!! to feel like that... I'm not taking any meds for this... My fear is that I have a low tolerance for meds and when I do take something it makes me sicker than before... pls help

Hey and welcome to Healingwell!

I get almost the same way right after I eat something that im very sensitive/allergic to. For me, its heavy preservatives, SORBITOL, milk, and high doses of sugar/fat. I too get the very exhausted feeling, and then you feel kinda empty. and weird.
Anyway, try eliminating those foods, as those are triggers for alot of people. For a few days try eating a very bland diet, like eating alot of rice and bananas and yogurts. See what happens. Keep us posted! :)

I get those pains also. It is very awful and mine have been so bad in the past that I have vomited just from the pain alone. I used to get it more when I had mostly constipation because the pressure was unbearable. I'd have the urge for a BM and sometimes it was D but it took forever because of the C I was suffering. **shudders** You probably are suffering from extreme gas pains. I would suggest maybe trying some Gas-X when you get those pains to see if it helps a little.

I used to feel horrible pain like that too, only once it was gone I was tired but otherwise normal (maybe a little sore from a lot of cramping). Check out my post on gall bladder disease and see if any of your symptoms are similar. My pain and diarrhea was caused by a spasming gall bladder. I had attacks for five years before I was finall diagnosed. I had it removed and have no more pain. I take one medicine to keep me from having bile diarrhea, but some people don't have diarrhea anymore after they have theirs taken out and they don't need medicine.
