Hello everyone ,
I'm in need of some good advice . any and all comments are welcome .
I still don't know how to use the web well and I'm having a really hard time finding information on this topic .
If suffering from irritable bowel & Diverticulosis , how do you know which to treat with the symptoms sometimes being the same ? how do you eat to treat both ? how do you find out which ingredient in a dish is bad for you ? will detoxes
and cleanses help ? can a detox or cleanse lower a medication level . where could I go to see a dietitian ?

Hi Goldengirl, the best thing to do is see your dr to determine what you may have going on. A lot of people have IBS & control it with diet. You can make a food diary & keep track of the foods you eat & what ones gives you difficulty.

Rather than guessing what you may or may not have, please see your dr. Make a list of your symptoms to discuss with the dr.

Good luck.

Hello straydog , I was hoping you might cross my path !
Thank you for your response and words of advice .
I saw my doctor in January due to a day of pain after Xmas ! (I never have had much luck when it comes to holidays!)
I have found myself in the hospital for one reason or another around the holidays ! I don't do well with holiday stress ! To make a long story short , my bodies tired and my age is starting to show . After doctors , tests , and procedures , I walked away with 5 new things to deal with . I'm really not looking forward to the rest of this year .
How about a really bad joke to lighten the mood ? What does a clock do when it's hungry ? It goes back for seconds !
I told you it was bad !
Thanks once again , take care and stay safe !

Goldengirl, my DIL suffered for years with IBS & really did not pay a lot of attention to the foods she was consuming. Finally, she started seeing a pattern of every time she had dairy things got worse. She started a food diary & dairy was a huge trigger. She eliminated dairy from her diet immediately. She kept up the food diary & now has it under control. A lot of people with IBS cannot handle dairy products. I am not saying this is your issue, but a food diary is something you can do on your own.

Take care.

Hello straydog ,
Thanks for stopping by once again with more advice !
Please know that every little bit given is greatly appreciated ! I'm going to do my best to put it in to practice . A good change in diet would do me good anyhow .
( With colon cancer heavy on both sides of the family it's not really something I can ignore . )
Thanks for the wish of luck it's greatly needed !
( Cooking for a starchy meats & potato's father and dealing with a comforts food mother will make this change in my life unsupported ! )
Once again a dull joke to lighten the mood !
Why did the tomato blush ?
Because it saw the salad dressing !
Are your eyes rolling yet ?
Mine did too . lol !
Thanks once again , continue to stay safe and take care .
