Has anyone had any success by going low-carb? I am thinking about trying the SCD Diet because it seems to make sense, and there isn't anything to tempt me food-wise here in Bolivia anyway!
I also read that article about SIBO (posted today)and it also seems to support the low carb theory.

Hi m&ms,
I think that if carbs give you a big problem than go for it. The problem with IBS is there is no ONE diet for all. Some people can only eat white rice mostly so the low carb wouldn't be good for them. It's really all about your triggers. Just make sure that you are getting all of your vitamins and minerals somehow and if it works for your gut, then its all worth it.

I don't get into the low carb diet for people who are trying to lose weight because I don't think it's healthy, HOWEVER, we're a totally different bunch of people and all the things that are healthy--vegetables and fruit--tend to make us worse, so I say go for it. I don't think it could make you any worse than you are now and if it helps, it helps.
