I bought some Dannon Activia yogurt and started it yesterday. I don't normally take probiotics (I know, I should) as I've been nervous about making things worse. I have IBS-C, so this really worries me.
Ok, about 6 hours after I ate the yogurt (which was good), I started having stomach cramps - not necessarily gas, but something. By the time I got home at 6:00, I was running to the bathroom. Nothing happened, but the cramping was horrible. It eventually went away, but I'm rather bloated today.
Is this a normal reaction to any probiotic especially when you've never taken one? Could this be a bit too much for my system?
I did, without thinking, eat another one this morning...
What do you think? I'm too new at this (probiotics) to make any rational decision!
