It has been suggested that perhaps I should have my motility tested. Could someone explain what that means, what the testing is about (how do they test for this) and what does it actually prove? Are there medicines for this? I'm calling my GI doctor tomorrow to find out the results from my colonoscopy (he biopsied some ulcers) and to talk to him about Miralax and the next steps to take.

At this point, it doesn't matter to me if I have IBS (we know I do have this), IBD or Crohn's...my inability to go to the bathroom has now taken precedence for me.

Thank you, hope you're enjoying your Sunday. The sun is out here today--Woo hoo!!! :-)

I think that the motitlity testing is to see the speed in which food digests through your system. Let u know how you get on with the biopsy results, I really do feel for you as Ive had the exact same symptoms and the same long wait to find out what was worng with me.
Take care,
Tori

I wonder if what you are getting is the sitz marker test. I haven't had it and to be honest don't know much about it. I think a few people here have had it (I think). I hope someone can come by and give their personal experiences. If not, definitely let us all know how it goes and how it is.

What about the camera pill? Doesn't that too show how long it takes for complete digestion?

Well it definitely could tell by seeing how long it takes to pass but its so expensive that I doubt insurance companies would approve it for monitoring transit times. I really wish they would drop the price of that thing so that many can benefit without so many invasive tests. Hopefully soon.
