Anyone ever been told the cause of their IBS might be an abcessed tooth? I have one, and the dentist said its possible that the stuff from the tooth could have affected my body chemistry and be the demon behind my IBS problems. He said there is a chance that after removal, and after the 'poison' clears my system, I might feel much better.

Well infections and bad bacteria can go other places, that's for sure. I guess that's the "poison" that he's referring too. Are they treating it with antibioitcs before removal? I wouldn't bet that removing the tooth will remove all your problems, but maybe it will help and maybe a good heavy dosing of probiotics will help too.
