hi guys, i'm a bit bored so I thought it might be interesting to see how everyone rates their ibs on a scale of 1-10!

As a guideline....

1= Very mild - Your ibs is a slight inconvenience that might pop up every now and then

5= Moderate - Your ibs has changed how you lead your life and who you are as a person. Yet with the right diet and lifestyle etc you are able to cope with it and lead a relatively normal existance.

10= Very Severe - Your ibs is completely debilitating

For the record I'd say i'm about a 4 or 5

roadtrip :-)

I suffer from C, and it usually just affects me of a morning. Every so often it causes my hemmies to flare, and makes me want to die; but other than that I am pretty stable, unless I get nervous, like the other night when some whacko was shooting his pistol off in front of my door. The next day I thought I was going to die.

Shoot back. :-)

I guess I'm a 2 or 3. My poop problems come and go, but I can do a pretty good job of managing them. I'm not afraid to go out places (I was this summer when I had a bad spell, though). I only have to avoid raw apples and apple juice and caffeine, so that's not too bad a change in diet. After all, caffeine's not good for you anyways. I don't eat fried fast food anymore either (almost never any fast food), but that's in large part because it doesn't taste good anymore once you've gone off it. And I do worry some about my guts. But I can still tolerate my grandmother's fried chicken, and I can eat half a Red Baron pizza, so all is right with the world.

I'm about a 6.  Mine is not under control yet.  I am still trying to find the best treatment plan.  Paxil worked the best but I gained so much weight! K.L.

5 because it is IBS-C so the urges are not a problem but the gas and nausea sap my energy.
