Is this on the outside? You might want to call your doc to see if he can write you a script
for a cortocosteriod ointment. Fissures are similar to hemmies but they are somtimes harder to heal and they often "break
open" everytime you wipe which I'm sure you are wiping many times a day. He may want you to come in but let him know because you don't want it infected. It could be a fistula as well as it makes a "crack" through your anus to your outside skin.
I think you may be confusing a fissure with a fistula. Fissures happen in healthy people as well and are more in the same family as a hemmhroid. Fistulas are caused by strictures or adhesions usually caused by surgery and causes organs to "connect" (and your right, commonly vagina and colon). These can be serious and need to be immediatly brought to your doctors attention.
