Hi!

IBS-D is irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea.  IBS-C is IBS with constipation.  IBS-A is IBS that alternates between diarrhea and constipation.

Dx means diagnosis.  Rx means prescription.

Hope this helps you.

I used to be on Zoloft which is a SSRI type antidepressant which also treats anxiety disorder and OCD. It worked really good for me however these type of meds seem to stop working at a point which is what happened to me. It did help with the anxiety which can in turn help you out with your bowels.

OT = Off topic
BTW = By the way
GI = Gastroenterologist (digestive doc) OR Gastrointestinal tract (digestive system)
M-I-L = Mother in law
S/O = Significant other
EGD = Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (upper endoscopy)
SBFT = Small bowel follow thru

If I remember anything else I will come back and add to this list. Feel free to post anything I've missed.
