Hi Jay,

I know what you mean about getting bloated from eating everything. I'll tell you what I did, maybe it will work for you. First I started out only eating soluable fiber foods. Like different versions of rice. You can try cream of rice cereal, or rice crispies ( I use lactaid milk, it's lactose free and I think lactose causes gas) or regular rice with a touch of salt. I know it sounds like it sucks and believe me it does but it may be worth it in the end. If you don't have constipation as a problem you could try some bananas, some apple juice and some toast (NO BUTTER). Then I drank fennel tea, which will make you belch but that will make you less bloated. Every time I get the slightest bit bloated I drink the tea and it works like magic. I was so bloated that it was giving me chest pains that scared me so me into going to the ER to make sure I wasn't having a heart attack. I can't stress the tea part enough. You can find it in a health food store for under $5. I usually put 1 bag in a cup of water, nuke it for 2 minutes and leave the bag in the cup till I'm done. It may take a couple of cups to first notice relief but keep trying. Good luck, hope you feel better.

I would check with her doctor but I don't think it should be a problem. You buy it at the health food store, even they may be able to say if it's safe. I thought it might taste nasty but it actually tastes like black licorice. Come to think of it, it's made from the same seeds that they put in rye bread so it probably is safe.

I swear by the probiotics to eliminate the bloating. I take them daily and my bloating has really almost gone away and I was a major bloater. I also take a Phayzme or Gas-X after I eat but even if I don't the bloating has really subsided since I went on the Acidophalous and Bifudus and stayed away from ALL dairy.
