Hi everyone,

Havent had any problems in ages and yesterday I started with cramps at either side of my abdomen, where my large bowel is.  Quite high up too.  I havent had this in ages so it's really got me down.  I havent had diahhrea with it though, only some soft stools.

Can't understand why its just suddenly come on.

The stools are quite pale and jelly like too.  Ive had that before in the past.  Very strange.

Victoria

Are your stools yellow or green in tint and do they burn? That could indicate excess bile. Some people with IBS have excess bile and still have a good gall bladder. And I have found that excess bile can really irritate your intestines and make them hurt.

yeah it can burn a bit. The stools are pale and have a bit of yellow but no green. The stools are loose too and mushy - sorry for being so graphic!!!!!!!!

Thanks for reply

You may want to see if you can get your G.I. to test your stools for excess bile acid. That is IF they know nothing is wrong with your gall bladder. If you just have too much bile, there's meds out there that can help soak up the excess and make you normal--or at least more normal.
