I am going to throw this out there in hopes that someone has had something similar or can help me out. I've been suffering many ailments since the birth of my son 1.5 yrs ago. I am 27, slightly overweight and have poor eating habits (trying to change them). I was told at one point that I have IBS but I've also been told I may have Lupus Nothing definite. I've been constipated for as long as I can remember, going to the bathroom maybe 1 to 2 times a week at most. Recently I was bitten by a deer tick and was put on a course of antibiotics for 10 days. I am wondering if this antibiotic has screwed up my system Cause Now I am going to the bathroom 3-6 times a DAY. It's never Diarrea mostly compounded pebbles. For the past week with these multiple BM I have been passing large chunks of what looks like balled up toilet paper with mucus in it, and often my BM contain these long white mucusy stringy things. What could this be??? I have put off going to the dr for a week in hopes that this will pass but it hasn't. Anyone have any ideas? Or suggestions? Any help will be appreciated.

NOt sure what is gooing on with ya , sounds like it could be the antibiotics they have ya on.....My GI tested me for Lyme disease as I have worked around a farm for quite some time and own horses, so he was concerned that maybe at some poinyt I was bitten by a tick....But results were negative, he also said that if it came back positive then it would be a round of heavy duty antibiotics, so maybe give his office a call and ask or try and drink tons of water and wiat it out...for me if I am not 100% in pain and I can function , somewhat then I call the office and tell secratary and let them make up their minds whether I should be seen now or next week....I do have quite a bit of mucus in my BM, stool or not, and since I started drinking this Choilestrymiine to control my diarrhea, well now BM are like "rabbit buttons" and sometimes irregular shaped as I have a rectal prolapse,,,
Anyway maybe someone who has this experience will come by shortly or maybe go to Lyme disease forum and post this question to them,maybe there maybe someone there with same thing happening and can assit ya.....best of luck....
