Hey everyone..its been a while since I've been on here..i've been incredbily busy and have barely had enough time to do ANYTHING..ugh!

Anyway...today, is sucky. I'm not sure if this is a mild gallbladder attack, or because my hormones are wreaking havoc on me...heres the story:

So, on Thursday, I apparently forgot to take my birth control pill. So I figured I would just take one the next day, keep it simple. Bad idea. I took the pill Friday, and started my period Friday night. This morning (Saturday) I woke up with horrible cramps, and the minute I started eating I immediatly had diarrhea. I finished eating, because surprisingly, I was still hungry. Then I had diarrhea, AGAIN. Then I was hungry so I ate bread for lunch..had D. Had a snack because I had that weird morning sickness, im-nauseaous-but-somehow-hungry feeling, had D. Then I just had another bought.  And its that yellow horrible burning kind that smells worse than anything.  I'm kinda nauseous, probably from having so much D and the menstrual cramps.

So, whats the verdict? Random gallbladder attack, or my body is freaking out because im "pregnant" (from the Pill i took Friday) and on my period at the same time?? Help..

The cramping could go either way, but periods don't cause anyone to have yellow, burning bile poop.  I never noticed that my periods had anything to do with my gall bladder attacks, so I really don't think you brought this on yourself by skipping one pill.

Which is why I'm not on the pill--I'm terrible about not remembering to take medicine.  Of course, if I forget my Welchol, my guts will remind me.  But I don't want a baby reminding me that I didn't take my BC!!!  Of course, as of yesterday, that's a moot point since I got my tubes tied; not taking any chances with forgetting to take something.

And I know all about wanting to eat even though I know it's going to make me sick.  That's when I tried to eat something safe, like a meal drink (I drank a lot of Carnation Instant Breakfasts because they didn't make my nausea worse and they helped fill up my stomach).  A lady at work told me that she had read that you gall bladder helps control your appetite and that there are days you just can't get full and days you just aren't hungry.  I think she's the "rarely gets hungry" type as she is fairly thin and eats a disgustingly small amount of food for lunch.  I'm of the "rarely gets full" group.  I've had to learn that just because I don't feel full doesn't mean that I'm still hungry.  There's a large amount of gray area in between "full" and "hungry" that I have to learn to dwell in.  I'm pretty good at work about only eating what I've brought and staying out of the snack box; sometimes ignoring what feels like a hunger signal is the only way I can keep from overeating.

Did you ever get anyone to give you a hida scan?  Now, while you're having problems, is a good time for it.
