Lately I have noticed that late at night and especially when I lie flat, the right side of my lower abdomen bulges and feel like something is moving.  My stomach has been making lots of weird noises lately and my husband was actually awakened by them one night.  No real pain to speak of except when this bulge happens my abdomen gets hard.  Any thoughts on this.

My stomach does the same thing. especially at night and my stomach gets really hard and makes all sorts of awful sounds and it feels like something is moving around. I started having problems about 2 months ago. I have diarrhea too like 3 hours later. Sometimes the pain is so bad it wakes me and keeps me up. Putting heat on my stomach seems to help some with the pain. The doctor thinks I have IBS. Barb

Mine bulges on the left side just above my waist. It feels like a grape would feel going thru a straw if you get the idea. It is gas moving or stuck and barely moving and it is very bothersome. I would love for it to make noise as I know then it is not stuck. Mine shows up mostly lying down also. I have had that on and off for years.

Mine was mostly at night like the wee hours of the morning but now I seem to have it in the evening too. My whole stomach gets so hard it feels like I am going to explode. I've had this for 2 months now. Some days are worse than others. For about a month I was taking a pain pill just to get some sleep at night. The doc took me off it though because I have really bad acid reflux and he thinks it could be making it worse. Barb
