I have had a really bad week.  non stop D.  I work for a company where I also have to make deliveries once in a while and this morning was time for another one, except I was in the bathroom every 15 minutes and couldn't go out of the office.  Finally about 11:00 I felt ok it is now or never and I left and the whole time driving I just kept praying I would make it back!!!  I have had enough of this.  I have another appointment with the GI on Monday afternoon.  So far food test &  blood tests have all come back fine.  I had a colonoscopy on the 30th of June and that for the most part was fine (except esophillic colitis, which is caused by food allergies, except the food allergies came back fine, so I don't understand that)  I have taken the antibiotic Xifaxan and that didn't help.  I am at my wits end I don't know what else to try.  I have missed work, been late for work, missed family functions all for the past 14 years because of this, I am ready to make it all go away one way or another mad

HI Sheryl- sorry to hear you are having a bad week. That sux!  (hope I can say that)  It does get rather tiresome, doesn't it?  Have you tried any Eastern medicine techniques?  If nothing else works, maybe you could look into acupuncture or a Holistic MD.  Now, I am no expert and definitely check with your MD on this but . . . it may be worth a try.  Some people have great luck.  Take care of yourself please.  One of my main concerns is my sheer loss of energy that I have noticed over the last year and a half.  I'm really bothered by it. I am going to try acupuncture for that at some point.  (I'm busy paying insurance deductibles on hit and run accidents with my car being the unfortunate victim, not once but three times- all in the past few months. I'm very unlucky when it comes to cars!- so after that, I'm going to put some money towards a good acupuncturist)   I wish I had an answer for you but will send good thoughts.  Good luck.

Hi Sheryl,
So sorry to hear about your crummy week. It's the weekend now! How are you doing?
On those days you just have to make it to work, or make a delivery, have you tried taking a small dose of Imodium?

Hi,  I seem to be a little better.  I actually took an hour and went to Walmart yesterday, but I hadn't eaten anything all day.  I have a real phobia about using public restrooms.  As far as taking Immodium, I do take Kaopectate sometimes.  I used to live on it everyday and I think by body has grown immune to it.   The Immodium doesn't seem to do anything for me.  I have an appointment tomorrow will ask the Doc about what carrell mentioned.  I just take it day by day.

Hi Sheryl,
So glad to hear you are feeling better. Even more pleased that you made a short trip to Walmart. It's important to get out and not let IBS beat you.
Please let us know how your doc apt goes. Good luck!

I went to the Dr yesterday. He has pretty much said that he can't figure out what is wrong. He said since the colonoscopy came back show Eosinophilic Colitis, he going to go with that. That is something that has to do with your white blood count. So my WBC always shows high. He gave me a prescription for Asacol and wants me to try that for a few week and if that doesn't work he has 4 other meds he wants me to try. I have just about had enough!!!
